Thrift stores
Volkshulp 2000
Please consider donating your superfluous
and unwanted goods
to our thrift stores. Our thrift stores generate income for the
Volkshulp 2000 welfare organisation, who help people in desperate
need.
One of our main aims is creating jobs. All funds generated at the thrift stores, are ploughed back into
this important endeavor. Goods donated are repaired, cleaned,
spruced up and resold for extra funds to either try to create new jobs
or to buy food for our food bank, which is supplied to people in dire need.
We currently have 4 stores in the
Pretoria area: two in East Lynne, one in Pretoria North and one in Danville.
We accept almost any products or items, including clothes, linen, blankets
and curtains, electrical appliances such as stoves and fridges, as well as
furniture, including beds and mattresses. Volkshulp is fortunate to have 3 hardworking
people who can pick up such donations from friends and supporters.
Please keep our organisation in mind if you have
items you want to donate. You are most welcome to phone or send a
request.

Woonwaens of Wendy-huise
Volkshulp 2000 benodig dringend nog
woonwaens, Wendy-huise of boumateriaal vir die Volkshulptuiste. Die
verblyf is tans propvol en daar is nou ongelukkig geen ekstra blyplek
meer beskikbaar nie. Mense met woningnood moet dus weggewys word, omdat
ons welsyns-organisasie op die oomblik nie kan help nie. Donasies van
woonwaens en Wendy-huise, hutte of boumateriaal, is dus van baie groot
waarde en ook baie groot belang!
Ons sal graag ook wil aanbou by 'n
bestaande woonkompleks, so enige boumateriaal sal 'n baie groot pluspunt wees. Ons sal beslis ook baie kan baat by apparaat en goedere soos
'n kompressor, teëls en verf. Help ons asseblief.

Animal Rescue and Adoption
CARA is a small group of volunteers and part-time employees that care for dogs,
puppies, cats, kittens and even other animals. You can help CARA by adopting or sponsoring
pets or by your generous donations. They will appreciate your participation and help very
much. For more information on how you can help a pet or become part of this group, visit
